The Consequences of Commercial Fishing

It tastes good, doesn't it? Deep fried, in soup, complimented with sauce; fish is one of the best foods out there. But do you ever wonder the lengths gone through to get just one on your plate?
Other than the immense labor fishing requires, another factor is very important: the fish themselves. And we can't get fish to eat if we hunt them all down, can we? Fish provide us with so many things, food, oils, beauty products, medicine, pets, inspiration and so much more. Eating them as a source of intake is not bad, but sometimes humans get carried away. We consume these life sources before they even have a chance to replenish, resulting in overfishing.
I personally gave up seafood for this cause. Sure, many people tell me that one person giving up fish isn't going to solve the problem, but I want to make a statement.
I want to state that we are taking it too far.
And because of it, our world takes a toll.
A toll we can fix, with time and effort.
Marine life populations have dropped drastically in the last century. What's worse is most people don't even realize it. So many amazing species are at risk of going extinct; species which were once abundant. For example, Bluefin tuna! Tuna is one of the most well known fishes in the world, and now it is endangered!
This is unacceptable. We, as humans, as people with a conscience, with feelings, have been given the opportunity to fix the mess we made.
What good would it be if we don't fix it?
